I have an idea.

Ideas come and go naturally, just like life itself. Whether you’re eating your breakfast or doing your business on your toilet bowl, ideas would naturally come to you. Remember Coffeeguy? Our great friend Brandon has appeared once again with another great idea. SoberGuy. Using his experience from Coffeeguy, he now serves mocktails instead of coffee to his customers.

It would be funny if-

When asked what his inspiration behind sober guy was, heres what Brandon had to say, “I thought it would be funny to do mocktails instead” He quite literally thought it would be funny to do mocktails instead of coffee (sooner or later we’re going to have an article called Burgerguy). He thought it would be a cool idea as mocktails, as a concept, interested him. He stated that he considers mocktails “Art…. you are combining 2 or more drinks to make art”.

The making of a hobby.

Of course, when starting a new hobby, you would first go through the learning process of getting your hands dirty and start practicing. Aside from practicing, Brandon must also brainstorm ideas for his mocktails. While brainstorming ideas for any drinks, Brandon considers how visually appealing and how interesting the drinks are, and the cost of ingredients as well.  With ingredients being expensive, you really have to ask yourself how he really feels after buying all those ingredients.

Money or no money, that is the question.

According to him, he was more ambitious in Soberguy. He wanted to make things interesting such as preparing his own OJ and making fresh garnish on the spot, but he had to use store bought ones due to cost restraints. Aside from needing to maintain costs Brandon finds the whole experience pretty smooth sailing.

Closing up shop.

Overall, I think Brandon definitely deserves praise for the amount of effort he goes through just for his ideas. I mean the man literally went from Khatib to Vivo to find mint leaves, just to be told that they were sold out. I highly recommend checking out his stands and maybe support him by spreading the word to others. After all, who doesn’t love a good drink?
